The projects and accomplishments of the FLOW AIS program   

TimeLine

January 2023

FLOW AIS Adds Marinette County to its coverage area 

October 2022

FLOW AIS presented at the Upper Midwest Invasive Species Conference (UMISC) in Green Bay Wisconsin.  Presentations included a field trip to the Oconto Marsh Unit looking for European frogbit and a group presentation on the effects of Butterfly Dock throughout Wisconsin. 

December 2021

Applied for Temper of the Times Foundation grant for European Frogbit project

 

Ordered D.O. meters, kayaks, and other supplies for FLOW program 

Fall/Winter 2021

Put away the field gear, started writing reports and most importantly planning for 2022 

Summer 2021

Started to figure out FLOWS first field season with lake studies and education and outreach events 


Attended first quarterly Lumberjack meeting!


Got introduced to a new invasive species named European Frogbit in Oconto County 

Spring 2021

Networking and meeting the Lake association and districts, sportsman's clubs, county conservationists and co-workers that help make FLOW possible 

May, 2021

Derek Thorn is hired as the F.L.O.W AIS Coordinator
